Mizu Japanese Restaurant
at VILA VITA Parc, Algarve
Japanese fine dining - with the bonus of amazing ocean views.
Mizu brings fine Japanese dining to the Algarve, with a carefully crafted menu that offers delicious dishes that are representative of Japanese cuisine while also playing to the culinary strengths of the Algarve. Primacy is given to fresh, seasonal and local vegetables and fruit, while fish from Algarve waters features on the Teppanyaki menu and in the sushi. Special mention for the Tuna used at Mizu - it is locally sourced from an Algarve company that, such is the quality of the fish, exports much of its tuna directly to Japan, where it is highly prized.
With a relaxed and Zen atmosphere, the decor at Mizu reflects the cuisine - timeless yet modern, sophisticated and stylish, inspired by tradition and driven by innovation. The magnificent views overlooking the ocean are the perfect complement to the seafood inspired dishes on the menu.
There are two distinct dining options at Mizu. For an immersive and interactive experience, opt for the Teppanyaki. With seating for 10 and a set menu with 6 courses, the show cooking and interaction with the chefs is as integral a part of the experience as the food. The a la carte option offers a wider range of dishes, leaving you free to explore the delicious Japanese food at will. The staff at Mizu are all aficionados of Japanese food and culture and are more than happy to help guide your choices if desired. Mizu features the Algarve's first Robata grill, where the food is grilled over Binchontan white charcoal. There is a fabulous selection of saké at Mizu too - beautiful aromatic and light drinks that pair wonderfully with the food.
- Mizu is open for dinner from Thursday to Monday, from 7pm.
- Children 6 years and older are welcome, reservations are advised.
- See the Mizu menus in the menu tab.
