You don't have to be in Munich to enjoy Oktoberfest. Head to the VILA VITA Parc Biergarten for an authentic German Oktoberfest in the Algarve with everything from sauerkraut to strudel, beer and an oompah band.
The Biergarten is a slice of Bavaria in the heart of the Algarve. Outside, long wooden tables and benches, wooden kegs, colourful wall murals depicting Bavarian scenes recreate the atmosphere of a true Bavarian Biergarten. Inside, the restaurant is decked out in vintage 120 year old wood creating the feel of an alpine chalet and the staff are dressed de riguer in drindl and lederhosen. It's the perfect setting for the annual Oktoberfest, that this year runs from 28th September to 9th October 2022.
The Oktoberfest celebrations are very popular at the Biergarten, with hundreds of people enjoying the beer, food and drinking songs. The atmosphere is true Oktoberfest with the added bonus of mellow Algarve autumn temperatures. The famed Münchner Gaudiblosn band keeps things lively with typical Oktoberfest music and plenty of sing-along songs.
And of course, there will be beer, lots of beer, from the Erdinger brewery as well as the newest star on the menu - Porches IPA (Indian Pale Ale), VILA VITA Parc's very own craft beer, made in Portugal, which has a tropical aroma and a zingy, refreshing taste, bringing a sunshine taste to Oktoberfest. The Erdinger beer on offer will include a special Oktoberfest edition and the Biergarten is the only venue in Portugal where it is available.
The special menu is replete with germanic goodies - traditional sausages and meats, pretzels, obazda cheese spread, pickles, crunchy knuckle of pork with cabbage salad and traditional potato salad. Most of the meat comes from VILA VITA Parc's on-site butcher, Tomas Weber so you can be assured of top quality.
An annual event, the VILA VITA Parc Oktoberfest at the Biergarten has grown hugely in popularity and attracts a great mix of nationalities to the event. With a children's play area in the grounds of the Biergarten, it's a great family event.
