Vila Nova

Vila Nova is a small restaurant just outside the centre Carvoeiro that offers consistently good food at very reasonable prices. It’s a little hidden away, but well worth finding.

Vila Nova has been run for many years by husband and wife team Anibal and Isabel. The restaurant is within the apartment complex of Vila Nova, just outside Carvoeiro, to the East. The complex is quiet and low rise and the restaurant fits in perfectly with the peaceful setting. Over the years Vila Nova restaurant has built up a very loyal clientele from the visitors to the complex and the surrounding area.

The menu is international and Portuguese with some interesting dishes thrown into the mix. You can enjoy the international Prawn Cocktail or the very Portuguese Piri-Piri Prawns, mussels in tomato sauce, seafood pancakes. One of the house specials is the Salmon in pastry, they do a great rack of spare ribs. Vegetarian are also catered for.

During the summer months you can dine on the outside terrace and in the winter the restaurant is cosy and intimate. The service is always friendly and welcome. You feel more like a friend than a customer. That and the food keep people coming back for more.
