Scary times are coming. As another Halloween rolls around, ghosts and ghouls emerge from the shadows and zombies prowl….be afraid, be very afraid.
Ok, maybe not too afraid. Halloween in the Algarve isn’t all soul-snatching monsters and blood-sucking vampires. Coinciding as it does with mid-term breaks in various countries, Halloween is a great opportunity to enjoy a sunny autumn getaway with the added frisson of few scares along the way.

Here are some highlights of what’s on for Halloween 2025 in the Algarve.
Halloween Fun at Quinta do Lago
There is plenty happening at Quinta do Lago over the Halloween period from costume parades to haunted dinners and spooky parties, as well as sports and theme evenings. Below are some highlights.

Spooktacular Brunch at Bovino - Food to die for! Enjoy a Halloween-themed brunch with delicious food and live entertainment.
31st October from 12:30pm - with live music, creepy cocktails and entertainment for the kids.

Sunset Scary Party at The Shack - spooky fun by the lake on 30th Oct.! Enjoy the great atmosphere, music and scary surprises with Halloween-inspired cocktails to sip on.



KOKO Costume Parade, 30th Oct.. – bring on your ghouls, your ghosts, your zoombies and join the monster parade. With entertainment for the kids and prizes for the best costumes.

Halloween Family Day at The Shack, 28th Oct. – Family Days at The Shack are famous. Huge fun with great live music, tasty food and an awesome vibe. Add some Halloween style to the mix, plus a bonus Pirate Adventure show, and it’ll be scarily great.

Dano's Beer Fest - it's not all scary stuff....Two days of great beer, live music, tasty snacks and entertainment. Sample some excellent beers, enjoy games and entertainment - a fun gathering for families to enjoy.
24th and 25th Oct. from 6pm to late

If you prefer your fun a little more active, then check out the sports camps and activities that are hosted at The Campus, Quinta do Lago’s sporting hub. There are tennis camps  for adults and juniors, dance camps and more.

And there's a special Scary Run on 27th Oct - a family-friendly event around the gorgeous nature trails.




Halloween at WELL, Vale do Lobo
WELL is a summer haven and winter refuge by the sea. Overlooking Vale do Lobo beach, from a prime position at the Praça, WELL is perfect for daytime meals, sunset drinks and nighttime fun.
There is a special programme of fun planned for Halloween this year. The kids will enjoy fun Halloween activities while the adults can kick back and relax, enjoying live music, creative cocktails and the chilled WELL vibe !

Halloween Fun at Par.Tee, Vale do Lobo
Par.Tee Family Park is a superb venue for family fun. Set right by the famous Vale do Lobo Praça and beach, there is mini-golf, Robo-Keeper, kids games and activities, as well as a food court and an adjacent restaurant with wonderful sea views!
During the mid-term break and for Halloween, there will be special events and fun happening every day from the 26th Oct.. Don't miss the Spooky Night with movies and popcorns, the Reptile Show for things that slither in the night, and Halloween fun and activities.

Halloween Week at Smile Park

Indoor Fun
The outdoors lifestyle in the Algarve is an attraction, at any time of the year. Sunny beach walks, perfect weather for sports and exploring. There's also plenty of indoor fun to keep everyone entertained.

Electric Karting
Speedy fun at an indoor, all Electric Karting track at Albufeira marina. 400m of fast fun, with top speeds of 50km/h. Perfect for adults, kids and teens.

Galleries and Museums
There are some great galleries in the Algarve, perfect spots to while away some autumnal time. Check out Art Catto in Loulé and the hidden gem that is Côrte Real Gallery.
There are Roman ruins to explore at Cero da Vila in Vilamoura, and fascinating insights into Portimão history, both ancient and recent, at the Museu de Portimão.

To get into the Halloween mood there are some spooky and unusual things to do in the Algarve. Check out the strange Chapel of Bones at the Nossa Senhora do Carmo church in Faro where the walls are lined with carefully placed skulls and bones. Dating from 1816, it is said to hold more than 1200 skulls, and bones from an older Carmelite cemetery. A smaller example of a Chapel of Bones can also be found at Alcantarilha.
