The Vila Vita Fine Wines & Food Fair opens on 15th May and promises six extraordinary days of unsurpassable gastronomy and heavenly cuisine, paired with the finest wines to be found on our planet. This event is almost certainly Europe’s most anticipated culinary extravaganza and probably the most look forward to food and wine fair in the world.

The venue
The location alone is an experience. Set on a majestic clifftop with magnificent ocean views, Vila Vita Parc’s 54 acre 5 star resort and spa is well-deserving of its status as a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
 
The epitome of luxury and sophistication, Vila Vita Parc is a stunning blend of traditional Algarve and modern chic that works superbly well. The Event
In May, this elite resort will welcome a stellar repertoire of renowned chefs, wine makers and gourmet producers, who together will inspire, amaze and enthral guests with their talent, expertise, outstanding knowledge and culinary creativity.
 
Food lovers and connoisseurs will be spellbound by the event’s programme, which includes a series of exclusive dinners that will take place at the resort’s Atlântico Restaurant and at the Ocean Restaurant between 15th and 19th May. In addition, a very special lunch will be served on 19th in Armação de Pêra at Praia Dourada Restaurant – on the beach. The grand finale of the 2017 Fine Wines & Food Fair will be held on 20th May, when the newly renovated Clubhouse kitchen will positively be the place to party.

Here’s a rundown of the programme:

Monday 15 May
Bordeaux Imperial Evening with René Gabriel - Atlântico Restaurant
The opening night at the Atlântico Restaurant will be entirely dedicated to Bordeaux wines. “The Wine Pope” René Gabriel will guide guests through a selection of eight exceptional wines, paired with the glorious creations of five world-renowned chefs.

Tuesday 16 May
Grand Swiss Stars Dinner - Ocean Restaurant
This second evening will be devoted to the unique flavours of Switzerland, created by a cast of celebrated Swiss Chefs including Chef Tanja Grandits, from Restaurant Stucki in Basel,Nenad Mlinarevic, the 2 Michelin Star Chef from Restaurant Focus at Park Hotel Vitznau and Laurent Eperon, the 1 Michelin Star Chef from Restaurant Pavillon at Hotel Baur de Lac.

Wednesday 17 May
Austrian “Young Stars” - Ocean Restaurant
The third night of the Fine Wines & Food Fair will welcome an amazing cast of young Austrian stars, as well as some of the top wine makers in Austria. Amongst the confirmed Chefs are names such as Floh Pepi, Andreas Döllerer, Thomas Dorfer, Hubert Wallner, Philip Rachinger and Richard Rauch, all distinguished with 2 to 3 toques Gault Millau, the prestigious European Culinary Guide. Accompannying their superb creations are the wines from FX Pichler, Kracher Winery, Bernhard Ott and the Neumeister Winery.

Thursday 18 May
VILA VITA All-Star Dinner - Atlantico Restaurant
Thursday night will see the Atlantico Restaurant bring together some of the most distinguished chefs who have participated in previous editions of the Fine Wines & Food Fair. Expect a truly All-Star Dinner! Hosted by the 2 Michelin star Chef Hans Neuner, Ocean Restaurant's Executive Chef, this incredible night will also be starring the 3 Michelin Stars top Chefs Gert De Mangeleer and Klaus Erfort, the 2 Michelin star Dieter Koschina and Ocean's very own incredibly talented pastry Chef Márcio Baltazar.

Friday 19 May
Chiringuito Chic, Barcelona Style Lunch - Praia Dourada Restaurant
Barcelona beach Chiringuito chic style will be the order of the day on the 19th of May. Directed by the famous Chef Evaristo Triano from the Pez Vela restaurant in Barcelona and served on the golden beach at Armação de Pera. Prepare for an unforgettable chill-out lunch!
 
Friday 19 May
Spanish Star Night Dinner - Ocean Restaurant
Dinner on Friday night will be at the Ocean Restaurant, where an outstanding cast of Spanish chefs will create a mouth-watering host of dishes, complemented by a magnificent wine selection. Amongst the confirmed Chefs are names such as Paolo Casagrande, from the 3 Michelin star Lasarte restaurant, Josean Alija from the 2 Michelin star Nerua restaurant, Xanti Elias from the Acánthum restaurant in Huelva, recently distinguished with its first Michelin star, Fina Puigdevall from the Les Cols restaurant and  Juan Pretel, the 1 Michelin Star Chef from Roca Moo restaurant in Barcelona. A magnificent wine selection from the famous wine connoisseur and producer Alvaro Palacios as well as from the reknown winery Juvé & Camps will be accompannying the 5 Spanish Chef's creations.
 
Saturday 20th May
Kitchen Party - VILA VITA Clubhouse
The last day of the Fine Wines & Food Fair is reserved for an extremely special and unique event. The 2017 Kitchen Party will give guests the opportunity to sample the culinary genius of more than 20 of the world’s most influential Chefs and to taste some of the best international wines and gourmet delicacies at the live cooking stations.
