Gourmet Culinary Extravaganza by Conrad Algarve
The Culinary Event of the Year, at Conrad Algarve, 29th to 31st October 2016
No stranger to fabulous gourmet events, the Conrad Algarve is the perfect setting for this amazing event. With Chef Heinz Beck hosting the kitchen at Gusto, the resort's signature fine dining restaurant, expect a dazzling display of exquisite and unique signature dishes as the visiting chefs are inspired by the fabulous produce of the Algarve and excellent Portuguese wines. The open kitchen at Gusto offers a unique window on the behind the scenes action. Guests not only get to see the maestros in action but also to witness the fun and comraderie between these giants of the kitchen.
Ten worldclass chefs will join Chef Heinz Beck for the Gourmet Culinary Extravaganza, holding between them 19 Michelin stars - Jose Avillez, Claude Bosi, Roel Lintermans, Kevin Fehling, Jacob-Jan Boerma, Paulo Casagrande, Matt Tebutt, Joe Barza, Sidney Schutte and Eddie Benghanem. Over the three days and five events of the Extravaganza, Conrad Algarve sommelier Antonio Lopes, named Best Portuguese Sommelier, will be on hand with a selection of superb Portuguese wines to pair with the outstanding dishes.
One of the highlights of the event is likely to be the Underground Culinary Extravaganza on the 30th Oct. - a garage party with live music and a seated dinner featuring all of the attending chefs, with Portuguese wine pairing.
