Turiscampo Campsite and Bungalow Park

Camping has recently become one of the most popular and economic ways to holiday abroad. The lovely Algarve countryside and year round sunshine means camping here is a pleasure rather than an endurance test. At Turiscampo Campsite and Bungalow Park, near Praia de Luz, there is an excellent array of services and facilities to please both experienced and novice campers.

The park is located just a few minutes from the lovely resort of Praia de Luz with its excellent beach and restaurants. Lagos, one of the Algarve's most picturesque towns is only 5 minutes away. The campsite itself is large and well laid out, with plenty of trees providing shade and lovely flowers providing splashes of colour.

There are pitches for tents, for caravans and campers, which the more experienced campers tend to opt for. All the pitches (40m2 - 120m2) have electric sockets and some have water and waste water. Those looking for a few more home comforts tend to choose from the array of bungalows and mobile homes that can be rented. There are 49 bungalows with 2-3 rooms and 74 mobile homes with 1 - 3 rooms, which can accommodate up to 6 people, all are well equipped with dishware, micro-wave, coffee maker etc. The bungalows even have heating, if you are planning some winter camping.

Within the grounds of Turiscampo there is enough entertainment and facilities to keep just about everybody happy. The big attraction in the summer is of course the swimming pools - for adults and children. Surrounded by gardens and a large terrace area and supervised by a life guard, the pool is also the place for hydro gymnastics. The year round animation programme includes aerobics, football and volleyball, Brazilian nights, open air discos, Flamenco shows and, in the summer, a great mini-club for the children. There is a restaurant and bar, supermarket, play-ground, sports area, washing machines, wash rooms (one with disabled access) and an internet room. There is also Wi-Fi available in about 80% of the park.
