Adamastor Swim Adventures offers amazing open water swim tours and swimming holidays along Portugal's stunning Algarve coast. With a passion for the ocean and open-water swimming, and a deep appreciation for the region's natural beauty, they provide guided swim tours to sea caves and along the coast, as well as weekend and week-long swimming holidays in the Algarve.

Founded by Ricardo Correia, swim coach and open water swim champion, and inspired by a very Portuguese and deep connection with the oceans, Adamastor brings excellent swimming credentials and experience to each tour, as well as unparalleled knowledge of the seascape. Ricardo has swum the Algarve waters all his life. He is intimately familiar with the best swim spots in the Algarve, the most fascinating caves, the geology and marine life. He is so familiar with the local waters he knows where specific individual fish can be found. He knows the currents, the tides and the unique seascape of each swim route.

Algarve Open Water Swim Tours
Embark on guided swim tours (2 – 3kms) that explore the hidden gems of the Algarve coastline. From secluded beaches to breathtaking sea caves, these tours offer a unique perspective of the gorgeous coast. Adamastor’s experienced guides ensure safety and provide fascinating insights into everything you see, making each swim truly memorable.
Participants need to be able to swim, however it is not necessary to be a particulary strong swimmer.
Adamastor offers swim tours to several locations including:

Carvoeiro and Benagil Swim Tour: The famous Benagil cave is not the only amazing cave in this area. Close by, and open to swimmers, are other stunning caves that you can explore in safety with Adamastor.
Portimão Swim Tour: exploring the magnificent coastline near Praia do Vau, Prainha and near Alvor.
Albufeira Swim Tour: passing golden beaches and unique rock formations along the Albufeira coast.
Lagos Swim Tour: the scenery here is magical and the best way to appreciate the intricate rock formations, small caves and incredibly clear water is by diving in.

Algarve Open Water Swimming Holidays
Adamastor offers week-long and weekend swimming holidays in the Algarve.
7-day Algarve Swimming Holiday: there are guided swims each day (3 – 4kms) as well as time for out-of-water experiences such as wine tasting and sampling local cuisine. Each swim is in a different location, offering a different experience, with support boats or kayaks in attendance.
