MAR Shopping Algarve hosts another Prostate Cancer Screening this May. The Prevent It Like a Gentleman campaign this year focuses on prevention and men's mental health, offering free PSA screenings from 4th to 19th May. The campaign culminates in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride, with a vintage motorbike caravan from Faro to MAR Shopping.
This is the 7th year that MAR Shopping promotes the Prevent It Like a Gentleman campaign. Partnering with the HPA Clinic, located at MAR Shopping, the campaign offers free consultation and PSA screening.
To take part, those interested should book their test in advance by calling 302 063 457 or emailing clinicaloule@grupohpa.com.
The Prevent It Like A Gentleman campaign runs from 4th to 19th May 2024. During this time there will be bike and art exhibitions at the centre. The final day sees the fabulous Distinguished Gentleman's Ride of vintage motorbikes from Faro to MAR Shopping, followed by live music.

Since its inception, this initiative has recorded 1,470 PSA screenings, resulting in the early detection and treatment of several cases of prostate cancer. In the last two years, 5% of the 449 tests carried out have led to 22 people being referred for appropriate treatment.
