A fundraising event to say Thank You to Algarve firefighting crews

Following the success of “Obrigado, Bombeiros!” 2016, a 2017 fun fundraising event for the Bombeiros of Lagoa and Silves, will take place this September.
The 2016 event raised a total of €3,236.00. This year’s “Obrigado, Bombeiros!” will take place on Saturday 23rd September 2017 at Quinta Bar (formerly O'Grady`s 12 Bar), Quinta da Figueirinha in Silves.
Entertainment
Entrance is free and a variety of live music acts will perform at the event, including Lady Rock Choir, Franky B Boy, Jon Storey and Meadowsweet.
Auctions
A diverse range of items and services will be up for grabs at a live auction. There will also be a silent auction, where bids for each Lot are made in writing and the highest bidder wins. Lots include a signed Manchester United T-shirt, accommodation in Lisbon and a stay at 5 star Vale d’Oliveiras Resort, as well as tickets for Zoomarine, Pestana golfing vouchers, meals out, wine and many more
Those wishing to donate an item or service for auction should contact the organisers.
Food & drink
A Portuguese BBQ meal with Sangria, priced at €10 per adult and €6 per child (up to 10 yrs) will be on offer too, and if you book in advance you’ll be entered into a prize raffle.
Second hand stall
In addition, event-goers are invited to contribute with used items to be sold on a second hand goods stall.
All profits raised by the event will be divided equally between the Bombeiros of Lagoa and the Bombeiros of Silves.
