ArtCatto Summer Exhibition

A new exhibition at ArtCatto Gallery in Loulé, opening night will be on the 29th of June with stunning paintings by Mr. Brainwash, Charly Palmer, Gustavo Fernandes and amazing sculptures by Rogério Timóteo. The gallery is open Monday to Saturday. Free entry.

ArtCatto Gallery is known for bringing exceptional artwork to the Algarve, with regular exhibitions featuring exciting artists. Set in a beautiful, traditional Portuguese townhouse, the gallery is an ideal spot to browse wonderful art.

The Summer Exhibition features the works of outstanding contemporary artists - Mr. Brainwash, Charly Palmer, Gustavo Fernandes and amazing sculptures by Rogério Timóteo.

Mr. Brainwash - For more than a decade, Thierry Guetta, under his moniker, Mr Brainwash, has been pushing the envelope of contemporary art. The orchestrated collision of street art and pop art has been his balancing act. He uses elements from pop art’s past and the raw components of his street art beginnings to create larger-than-life exhibitions and collaborations.

Gustavo Fernandes is self-taught, creative and bold. In his work stand out objects, landscapes, people and details that give to his work a real hyper-realistic touch.

Rogério Timóteo was born in Anços, Sintra, Portugal. Being born in a region where extraction and transformation of marble has a strong presence this material naturally became his preferred medium for sculpting, not excluding nevertheless approaches to new materials and techniques, such as bronze and more recently resin.
