Vagabondo Steakhouse is one of Alvor's most popular restaurants - and justifiably so., serving excellent food with great service since 1992. The setting is lovely, the ambience relaxed and the food excellent. Perfect for delicious steaks, fresh seafood and quality international and Portuguese cuisine.

Located on Alvor's busy pedestrian street, Vagabondo's main dining room is the perfect place for people-watching, with wide windows giving you the best views of main street. In the winter the log fire creates a welcoming atmosphere making Vagabondo a cosy winter restaurant. During the summer, the garden courtyard at the back is ideal for outside dining, being dotted with lemon, orange and olive trees that provide a lovely cool oasis on those mellow algarvian evenings, the trees overhanging the tables and creating a secret garden feel.

The menu at Vagabondo Steakhouse is varied with a good choice of fish and meat, grilled over charcoal as well as vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes. The steaks are outstanding. Choose your cut - fillet, rib-eye, sirloin or t-bone, served with your choice of sauce and sides.

Vagabondo's famous spare ribs, and the mixed meat board, are always favourites. Special mention for the fabulous kebabs for two, which are huge skewers of your choice of meat or tiger prawns that hang suspended at your table while you feast. There are several prawn dishes, grilled salmon and fish of the day, as well as vegetarian options such as a Veggie Buddha Bowl and Quinoa Salad. There is a children's menu available and a good selection of desserts, if you still have room.

The staff is friendly and professional, and regular visitors to Vagabondo, of which there are many, will be welcomed as old friends by the staff, most of whom have been with Vagabondo for many years.

Vagabondo is located just across the street from its sister restaurant, Paesano. More than just pizzas and pastas, Paesano serves authentic Italian cuisine in its open and airy dining room overlooking Alvor and in its pretty and secluded garden courtyard.. 

2024 marks 32 years of fabulous Vagabondo food. Alvor has grown a lot in that time, but the good food and hospitality is timeless, as is the lure of Alvor's fabulous beach and sunny charm.
