Description

Founded by the Algarve’s original hiking guide and founder of West Coast Adventures, this tour offers an immersive experience through Costa Vicentina Nature Park. The hike showcases one of Europe’s most dramatic coastlines, with towering cliffs and remote beaches rarely seen by visitors or locals.

The day begins in Lagos with a relaxed welcome and orientation, followed by a 35-minute scenic drive in a classic VW van to the park’s rugged wilderness. The hiking route covers 8 to 12 kilometers along cliffside trails and down to secluded beaches. The exact path changes with the season, weather, and group preferences, ensuring a personalized experience with unforgettable views and quiet moments.

Throughout the hike, the guide shares knowledge about the area’s ecology, geology, and human history. Depending on conditions, there may be an opportunity for a swim in the sea.

The tour ends at a remote clifftop viewpoint for a homemade Algarvian tapas picnic dinner paired with local wine. After sunset, the group returns to Lagos under the stars, concluding the day refreshed and fulfilled.
