SushiYama

SushiYama is a self-styled traditional Japanese restaurant in the heart of the Algarve's Golden Triangle. With sushi and sashimi galore, lovers of oriental cuisine make their way here for authentic Japanese food.

Located near to Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, SushiYama restaurant is much larger inside than the outside would suggest. The décor is in black and red with wooden floors and oriental decorative touches. Just off the entrance is a spacious lounge with a view across the ground floor of the restaurant and the Teppanyaki table and sushi bar. On the first floor you have another dining room with high lacquered stools and tables. One side of this room has several curtained booths for private and romantic meals. Or you can opt for the more informal low tables and floor cushions.

The menu at SushiYama offers a large selection of sushi and sashimi, as you would expect - uramaki, hossomaki, okonomi and rolled temaki as well as some of sushiYama's own creations. The specials include great combo plates for 2 or more people. There are tempura dishes and for those not too sure about sushi, there are chicken and beef dishes. The ingredients used are the freshest possible resulting in fantastically tasty and extremely healthy food.

Open for both lunch and dinner, SushiYama runs a great value buffet every Tuesday. This is an excellent way for novices to become initiated into the pleasure of sushi. And if you prefer to eat at home you have two options. You can visit the SushiYama take away counter at the Apollonia supermarkets in Almancil and Galé. Or you order your meal online and have it delivered to your door!
