Akvavit Restaurant is a very popular restaurant on Vilamoura marina, famous for its brilliant location and views, and its great food featuring Nordic dishes, French cuisine as well as Portuguese and international dishes.

Serving great food since 1990, Akvavit Restaurant was one of the very first restaurants to open at the marina. And it was the first to inaugurate the fabulous above water deck - a great spot for people, and yacht, watching. The deck is perfect at any time of day. You can start the day with a tasty breakfast, opt for a relaxing lunch or end the day on the deck with a sumptuous meal. (See sample menus attached)

The main dining room at Akvavit is spacious and airy with a fitting nautical theme. The large panoramic windows are generally open, bringing the outside in. Open all day, at Akvavit Restaurant you can enjoy great food at any time of the day. There is a light meals, salad and snack menu available during the day, while the a la carte menu is reserved for the evening.

This menu reflects its Nordic roots with several Swedish specialities on the menu. Opt for a choice of Swedish starters and accompany them with a glass of Akvavit - a little bit of Sweden enjoyed in the warmth of the Algarve. The menu also features excellent seafood - be sure to cast your eyes over the magnificent fresh seafood display as you enter the restaurant. Traditional Algarve dishes can be enjoyed at Akvavit too, dishes such as Cataplana - a delicious seafood stew served in a special copper pot. There is a choice of quality steaks on the menu as well as some French cuisine.

Quality is always to the forefront at Akvavit, not only in the food. The service is friendly, relaxed and very professional. There is an excellent wine list available featuring both Portuguese and international wines. Akvavit Opening Times:
Akvavit is open everyday. Reservations are recommended, particularly for dinner.

• Open from 9am to 5pm and from 7pm to midnight
• Deck reservations are accepted for 7 - 8pm after which tables are allocated upon arrival via the waiting list.
• Main dining room - reservations are accepted for 7 - 8:30pm and and 10 – 11 pm (July & August), after which tables are allocated upon arrival via the waiting list.
• Late arrivals policy - reserved tables are held for 10 minutes only after the reserved time.
