Tour Description
The tour starts in Praia da Luz, where you walk the beachfront promenade and visit the Rocha Negra viewpoint to see panoramic lava cliff views. There is an optional quick coffee stop before proceeding west.
Next, visit Burgau, known locally as “The Portuguese Santorini.” Park at the top and walk down the whitewashed alleys to enjoy cliffside viewpoints above the beach. Take photos from the eastern cliffs overlooking the bay. You may stop for a drink or pastry at a seaside café.
Continue to Salema, a relaxed fishing village with calm waters. Walk along the promenade and beach, and optionally visit the dinosaur footprints on the eastern cliffs during low tide. This spot is suitable for a seaside snack.
Stop in Sagres town for lunch or a light meal with several options near the harbor or town center. Explore shops and cafés with a surf-town vibe.
Visit Fortaleza de Sagres, a large sea fort on the cliffs. Walk the perimeter trail with coastal views, see the wind compass (rosa dos ventos), ancient walls, and ocean cliffs.
The final stop is Cabo de São Vicente, the southwestern tip of Portugal, where you can admire dramatic cliffs, a lighthouse, and expansive Atlantic views. Expect strong winds and panoramic scenery.
