Description

Ponta da Piedade is quite simply one of the most extraordinary sites in the Algarve. Rocks sculpted by the wind and tides over thousands of years form spectacular caves and rock formations. Located in the west of the Algarve, around 4 km from Lagos, the sea is incredibly transparent, and the orange-coloured cliffs, up to twenty metres high, with their magnificent views over the Atlantic, make this landscape a true wonder of nature. Your walk begins at the foot of a lighthouse built in 1913, and you can take the various wooden footbridges at Ponta da Piedade, which jut out into the sea to provide access to different viewpoints while preserving the site. At the bottom of the staircase is a magnificent backdrop of cliffs, rock formations and natural arches crossed by small boats carrying tourists along the coast. We'll then head off to Lagos, where you'll have time to visit and have lunch in one of the many restaurants in the historic city center. The afternoon will be devoted to relaxation, with a trip to Marihna Beach, renowned for its raw beauty and considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. You can swim in its crystal-clear waters or just relax on the sand. Don't hesitate any longer!
