This four day traditional annual cultural market in Lagoa is a magical event illuminated by 12,000 candles.

The 8th edition of the Mercado de Culturas à Luz das Velas® (Cultural Market by Candle Light) will take place in Lagoa in the Western Algarve. This year, the cultural theme will be dedicated to 'Cultures and Rituals of Ibero - America'.  The programme will have 3 themes associated with emblems of Ibero - America, those being the Inca Cross, the 'Sol Mayo', and naturally the Christian Cross.
There will be live musical performances, arts, crafts, gastronomy and much more.
The event runs from 6th until 9th July.
