Olhão Seafood Festival is said to be the biggest of its kind in Portugal. For more than 30 years, every August, thousands of people have flocked to Olhão to eat their fill of seafood and enjoy live music concerts, featuring some of the best artists in Portugal.
Dozens of restaurants take part in the event and there are so many different types of seafood on offer, caught locally in the Ria Formosa, that it can take the whole six days to sample them all!
In addition to the amazing seafood the live concerts are fabulous. The main stars of the 2018 Olhão Seafood Festival is Agir, who will perform on the first day of the festival - August 10th. Pedro Abrunhosa will be on stage on August 11th and one of Portugal's best known Fado artists, Ana Moura, will entertain festival goers on 12th.
