Itinerary
Silves – The Ancient Capital
Begin in the historic town of Silves, once the Moorish capital of the Algarve. Stroll its narrow cobbled streets, admire the imposing cathedral, and soak up the medieval atmosphere (entrance fees not included).
Monchique Mountains & Caldas de Monchique
Travel upwards into the lush Monchique hills dotted with cork and eucalyptus trees. Stop at Caldas de Monchique, a charming spa village known for its thermal springs with reputed healing powers.
Foia – The Rooftop of the Algarve
Continue onwards to Foia, the highest point in the Algarve at 902m. Breathe the crisp mountain air and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views stretching across the coast and countryside.
Traditional Lunch in Marmelete
Descend into the countryside and stop in Marmelete, a small village, to enjoy a traditional lunch featuring the flavours of the region (lunch is inluded in the tour).
Costa Vicentina – Untamed Beauty
After lunch, head west to the magnificnet Vicentine Coast Natural Park. Discover unspoiled beaches, dramatic cliffs, and sweeping ocean views – a paradise for photography and nature lovers.
Cape St. Vincent and Sagres– The End of the World
Experience the raw power of the Atlantic at Cape St. Vincent, the most southwesterly point in Europe. See the historic lighthouse, one of the most important in the continent, and feel the windswept wilderness once believed to be the edge of the world.
Conclude the day with a visit to Sagres, a typical Algarve fishing town with a sheltered harbour and a strong maritime heritage.
