Algarve Smooth Jazz Festival 2017 at VILA VITA Parc

VILA VITA Parc welcomes, for the second time, the Algarve Smooth Jazz Festival, “the biggest soul, funk and jazz party in Europe since 2008”.
 
The Algarve Smooth Jazz Festival will bring together the biggest and best international names in jazz, soul and funk.

Organised by Smooth Entertainment, the festival has been taking place in Europe since 2008, with a first edition in Portugal last year.

2017 Line Up
This year, the four-day festival will feature artists such as the pianist and trumpet player Brian Culbertson, author of 7 top 3 Billboard jazz chart albums and the vocalist, composer and producer John Stoddart, on the 28th September. On the 29th September the festival continues with Larry Braggs, the 2 times Grammy nominee vocalist, followed on the same day by Kirk Whalum, Grammy winning and 12 time nominee saxophone player, with 25 solo albums and once Whitney Houston’s saxophone player.

On Saturday, 30th September, the festival will also be featuring the saxophone player Jackiem Joyner, the Grammy winning vocalist and guitarist Paul Brown, the guitarist Paul Jackson Jr. as well as saxophone player Richard Elliot, both Grammy nominees.

On the last day, 1st October, saxophone player Tom Braxton (pictured above), musical director of the legendary bass player Wayman Tisdale for 17 years, as well as the pianist Keiko Matsui, with over 27 solo albums and 1.5 million copies sold worldwide, will be closing the Algarve Smooth Jazz Festival with a golden key.

Tickets & Accommodation
As in the previous year, combined packages of ticket and accommodation at VILA VITA Parc have now been made available by the Organisation.

These packages also include several special activities, such as a welcome dinner with the team and the artists, a tour to the Herdade dos Grous in Alentejo, a boat trip with dolphin watching and a visit to some of the Algarve’s most typical villages such as Alte, Querença and Silar.
 
TICKETS
Tickets are now available for sale, priced at €65 with an option for a combined ticket and pre-concert dinner for €116 per person.
