VILA VITA Parc wins multiple awardsThe prestigious World Luxury Award for Global Restaurant of the Year has been awarded to Ocean Restaurant, at VILA VITA Parc. Holder of two Michelin stars, Ocean received the distinction simultaneously with the Best Locally Sourced Produce menu award.
Since 2007, Ocean has been at the forefront of the growing gastronomic excellence that has placed the Algarve on every gourmand’s map. Created under the strategic vision of Kurt Gillig, Managing Director at VILA VITA Parc, and with Chef Hans Neuner at the helm, Ocean creates sublime sensory experiences. The elegant dining room with endless ocean views is the perfect setting for food creations that allow the very essence of each ingredient to shine.

Ocean’s menu is inspired by the islands of the Azores, Madeira and São Tomé, seasoned with flavours from afar, brought to Portugal in times gone by aboard the caravels. It is an invitation to sail among traditional dishes, typical ingredients, underlining the richness of flavours and the gastronomic influences that remained in each island until today.
The tasting menu respects the seasonality of the products, not only because it is a part of VILA VITA Parc’s sustainable philosophy, but also for the guarantee of quality and authenticity of flavours. The wine pairing is headed by Ricardo Rodrigues, who handpicks a curated selection of Portuguese wines, as well as international wines, preferring limited and exclusive productions, providing unique opportunities for the connoisseurs and gourmands.
Ocean was not the resort’s only winner. The VILA VITA Spa by Sisley was awarded Best Theme Design Spa (Southern Europe), and the private villas, the VILA VITA Collection, received the Luxury Serviced Villas award.
The World Luxury Awards recognize establishments for world-class service excellence. Awards are presented on a country, regional, continent and global basis. Winners are selected by public vote online, providing true recognition that reflects the hard work and dedication exhibited by staff.
