Description
Experience the Algarve coast’s unique natural landmarks on this pet-friendly hiking tour starting from Tavira at 7:00 AM. A local expert guides you through four key locations known as the “Treasures.”
The first stop is Praia da Marinha, a 24-million-year-old cliff area recognized in the Michelin guide. Here you will see the iconic Titanic, Heart, and Bridge rock formations.
Next, you visit the top of the Benagil Cave, about 16 million years old, offering panoramic views of the cave’s sea-filled interior.
The third Treasure is Algarseco, where you explore the Boneca Cave and other cliffs carved by the sea along the Seven Hanging Valleys trail.
Finally, you reach Senhora da Rocha and Praia Nova Beach. This stop includes a visit to a 16th-century chapel set on a cliff and a connecting rock tunnel between the beaches. Weather permitting, you can swim or relax here.
The tour concludes back in Tavira with a sense of having explored significant Algarve coastal features, led by knowledgeable guides.
