The Natural Meat Co. is where you can find delicious, tender, free range and grass-fed beef from Uruguay. All the beef is sourced from a key partner, Breeders and Packers of Uruguay (BPU) and the cattle is raised using the Never Ever principle - they have never been given hormones or antibiotics. The beef sold at The Natural Meat Co. is the same as that you can enjoy at Parrilla Natural steakhouse - amazing steaks in an even more amazing setting and without doubt one of the best restaurants in the Algarve.
At The Natural Meat Co. you can find a selection of beef cuts, fresh and frozen, ready prepared and vacuum packed, as well as lamb, pork, turkey and chicken. There are selections of cuts, ready seasoned, that are perfect for popping on the BBQ for lazy summer evenings by the pool, or for more traditional Sunday Roasts or seasonal meals. The butcher is always on hand to offer advice and suggest recipes.
Aside from the meat, there is always a range of locally sourced and seasonal fresh produce, a selection of GMO free bread and local cheeses. There are condiments and spices, olive oils and chutney.
There are some excellent wines too - not only Portuguese wines but also Uruguayan, Chilean and French wines, as well as champagne, port and a good range of beers.
The Natural Meat Co. is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and on Saturday, 9am to 1pm. You're encouraged to take your time browsing the shop, enjoy a coffee and chat with the butcher to find the best cut of meat to suit you.
