Willie's Restaurant in Vilamoura is a bastion of  fine dining, serving international gourmet cuisine in an elegant atmosphere. The restaurant and wonderful dishes are testament to the passion, skill and dedication of Chef Willie and his team who go about producing amazing food with a minimum of fuss.

Located in a tranquil area of Vilamoura, the restaurant is not particularly large, ensuring maximum attention and quality for each diner. The inside dining room is classically stylish and the summer garden terrace is perfect for those balmy summer evenings.

Chef Willie Wurger first came to the Algarve in 1985 and he was awarded the first Michelin star ever won by an Algarve restaurant in 1989 when he led the team at Hotel La Reserva. He followed this by another Michelin star award - this time when he was at Restaurant São Gabriel. Willie then opened his own restaurant, where he also won a Michelin star, and where he continues to create and delight with his international, modern cuisine, maintaining the highest of standards in quality and flavour.
In 2025, Willie's celebrates 25 years of excellence and outstanding food.

The team at Willies are obviously highly experienced. They are very sociable and professional and ably recommend suitable wines to complement your meal. The service throughout is as one would expect from a quality restaurant - discreet, attentive, friendly and professional.

Willies Restaurant is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or for an excellent romantic dinner. The intimate dining room is perfect in the winter months while the outside garden terrace is an absolute pleasure on those gorgeous Algarve summer evenings. The atmosphere is refined but not pretentious - enjoyment of the wonderful food is at the top of everybody's agenda here. When possible, the chef enjoys coming to meet diners after their meal, for a relaxed chat, adding to the hospitality.
