A Ver Taivra is without doubt one of Tavira's most impressive restaurants. It's superb location overlooking this attractive and historic town is an added bonus to the great food on offer. Awarded its first Michelin star in 2021.

Tavira is considered by many to be one of the most scenic towns in the region and is often referred to as the 'Queen of the Algarve'. Near to the Ria Formosa Natural Park the town has a rich history and boasts among its attractions an ancient Roman Bridge, a Moorish castle, numerous churches and chapels and many narrow, winding cobbled streets. A Ver Tavira restaurant is set right by the castle walls and offers spectacular views across the town.

A Ver Tavira offers an imaginative and creative menu that draws upon traditional Portuguese and Algarvian cooking with a modern twist to produce some delicious dishes. Locally sourced ingredients such as octopus, fish and shellfish are often used. The menu reflects the seasonal produce of a region that offers healthy and delicious food as part of its gastronomic heritage. There are several choices of fish and meat dishes as well as vegetarian options.

Open both for lunch and dinner, the restaurant has a fantastic terrace with stunning views across the red-tiled roofs of Tavira.
