Description
Join us on an unforgettable journey through over 2000 years of history with this electric tuktuk tour of the city of seven hills. From the ruins of Roman Lisbon to the Carnation Revolution, we'll explore the most iconic neighborhoods—Alfama, Graça, Chiado, Bairro Alto, and Belém—seeing how each era left its mark on this one-of-a-kind city.
We'll check out Plaza da Figueira and the Roman cemetery, Rossio (the old Roman racecourse), and the National Theater. We'll stroll down the elegant Avenida da Liberdade with its luxury shops, check out the historic funiculars of Lavra and Glória, the majestic Elevador de Santa Justa, and pass through the Roman Galleries.
We'll check out the Arco da Rua Augusta and the Praça do Comércio, a symbol of the city's rebirth after the 1755 earthquake. We'll check out historic churches like the birthplace of St. Anthony of Padua and the impressive Lisbon Cathedral. We'll head up to the Santa Luzia and Puertas del Sol viewpoints, check out the oldest house in Lisbon, and make it to the Graça Viewpoint and the National Pantheon.
The tour will also take us through Chiado and the city's most expensive street, the world's oldest library, and Largo do Carmo, where the Carnation Revolution happened. In Bairro Alto and the São Pedro de Alcântara viewpoint, you'll feel the energy of nightlife and history coming together.
We'll head to the elegant Jardim do Príncipe Real, Parque Eduardo VII, the Basilica da Estrela, and the Portuguese Parliament. The Bica funicular, Pink Street, and the lively Time Out Market, before you check out the creativity at LX Factory.
The adventure keeps going in Belém, the birthplace of the Discoveries. Here, we'll check out the Belém Palace, the Jerónimos Monastery, the Belém Tower, and the Monument to the Discoveries, plus a stop at the MAAT with views of the 25 de Abril Bridge and Cristo Rei. And, of course, you'll get to try the authentic Pastel de Belém, with a special invitation included!
