Description
DESCRIPTION:
Upon arrival, we'll provide you with a lifejacket, a paddle, a waterproof bag, water and a snack. After a safety briefing and kayaking instructions, you'll launch from the shore with our guide.
Paddle along the stunning Algarve coastline as a group. Learn about rock formations, marine life, and local history from our local and licensed guides.
Along the coast there are many caves and tunnels to explore.
Experience the awe of Benagil Cave, one of the world's largest sea caves.
After Benagil we start making our way back, visiting some places we might have skipped or repeating the ones you enjoyed the most!
The activity total paddling distance is about 5km, so be ready for a little workout!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- This activity starts and finishes in the same place, Albandeira's beach.
- We have double kayaks and single kayaks, the single kayaks are usually for the guides but if you want to take a single we might be able to arrange that for you.
- The Benagil Cave sand is nowadays forbidden to step on, we can go inside, but stay afloat, in the water.
- There are other Caves we can stop inside but it highly depends on the ocean conditions, we always try to take you inside as many as possible, but the conditions might not allow many.
- There are many secret beaches (without an access from land) where we can also stop if stopping inside a cave is not possible.
- This is a VERY CROWDED area, our route is different from most companies but sometimes it's hard to avoid all the big groups and boats around, best time to come is early morning or late afternoon, 7am or 5pm, when there are not many people around.
- If you book a tour for early morning or late afternoon, you might want to bring a light windbreaker, when you are wet the ocean breeze can feel quite cold.
Includes
Free time inside a cave or at a secret beach (with good conditions you can expect more stops)
Licensed kayak instructor and experienced local guide

Lifevest

Important Information
- Kayaking requires a moderate level of fitness. Even though you will partner with someone, as the kayaks are double, it would be better if you are physically active
When it's windy it can get quite cold in the ocean, especially with early-morning or late-afternoon tours. Please bring a raincoat or a windbreaker if you get cold easily
While spending 2 hours offshore may be tough for some people, there are several small stops along the tour so you have time to drink some water, take some pictures, or have a little snack
