Fado - called Portuguese Blues is Portugal’s real treasure! It's known for its nostalgy and heartfelt emotions. Performed by passionate singers with the unique sound of the Portuguese guitar, it captures listener's hearts and the essence of Portuguese soul expressing the feeling of saudade (longing). Fado is a traditional Portuguese music genre (like Flamenco in Spain) deeply connected to Portuguese identity and culture. Concert begins with a brief introduction to Fado's fascinating history and tradition, then you will hear a variety of Fado songs, from melancholic and soulful to amusing and modern, including some from the repertoire of the famous Amalia Rodrigues. With a capacity of just 12 people, this intimate and relaxing concert hall offers is suitable for all the family as well as the romantic afternoon experience for a couple.
