Discover Albufeira Old Town on a guided walk by Albufeira Municipality. Every Thursday, explore the narrow old streets, learning the history of points of interest such as Our Lady of Orada Chapel, the Watch Tower, Sant'ana church, the old castle walls and more. Free to participate, registration is required at least 48 hours in advance.
Albufeira is one of the most popular destinations in the Algarve, offering a beautiful coastline, lots of activities and a vibrant nightlife. Less well known for its history, Albufeira nevertheless has many charming and interesting historical spots to discover.
From October 2025 to June 2026, Albufeira Municipality offers free guided walks of the historical old town. In Portuguese and English, these walks are a great way for visitors to learn more about the town's history and to gain a different appreciation for what it offers today.
