Vale do Lobo Ocean Course

The Vale de Lobo Golf Resort encompasses the renowned Royal and Ocean Courses and we can tell you first hand that playing either of the Vale do Lobo golf courses is a memorable experience. Both courses present golfers with a stunning round and have different challenges to be overcome to battle for a good score! One helping factor: the greens are some of the highest quality our team have ever come across.

As you would expect from the name, The Ocean Golf Course has several holes that have you playing right up to the beach! The back nine in particular are characterised by spectacular ocean views. From the 11th hole onwards, players come suddenly upon a sight fit to take the most concentrated golfer's breath away. The hole runs directly down towards the beach and, for the next few holes, amazing views and a cool Atlantic breeze are guaranteed to make a difference to your round!

The course at times can be attacked and give you an opportunity for a good score, in particular the five par 5´s are reachable in two big hits. However, many of the par 4´s create a challenge from the tee with their narrow fairways and little chance of par if you go wayward.

If you shoot to your handicap then you have had a good round. Whether it is the natural beauty of the course that distracts you or the challenging holes that eat up your score, the Ocean Course is certainly one to play!
