A cooking academy with Portuguese soul and a global vibe, you can learn to bake Pastel de Nata, enjoy wine tasting sessions, join the plant-based supper club and much more. The Kitchen by Eat at a Local’s brings something different to the menu of activities in the beautiful historical town of Lagos. The intrinsically Portuguese town, with a cosmopolitan vibe, is the perfect spot for a hands-on, cooking experiences that range from Ceviche to the iconic Pastel de Nata, the world’s favourite sweet treat. A bright and modern space, The Kitchen hosts cooking classes, wine tasting, Supper Clubs, networking events, photoshoots and private events.

Pastel de Nata Cooking Class – the perfect opportunity to learn to make these delicious tarts. A hands-on class with spectacular results. Available Monday to Friday.
Plant-based Supper Club – perfect for vegans and vegetarians, enjoy showcooking and delicious meals.
Plant-based cooking classes and Vegan Ceviche cooking classes – morning and evening hands-on classes are available, and include lunch /dinner
Wine Tasting – weekly Wines of Portugal tasting sessions. Sample some excellent wines and learn more about Portuguese wines, which are gradually gaining international recognition.
