A recent and great addition to the food scene in Armação de Pêra, husband and wife team Paulo and Aleks welcome you to their Bistro where they showcase some fabulous Portuguese flavours, giving them a contemporary twist, resulting in a selection of tapas that will get your taste-buds tingling. Complemented by quality, local Algarve wines, the tapas by Pêra Bistro Bar are made with love, shared with friends and hit all the right notes.

Tapas highlights include a generous meat and cheese platter to share, garlic and lemon baby squid, tiger prawns with garlic and ginger, and a fabulous tuna carpaccio with spicy mango dressing, pistachios and watercress.

The bistro has a fine selection of wines, with a particularly lovely range of local Algarve wine featuring Quinta do Francês, Paxa and Quinta dos Vales. The team are happy to help you choose a wine to complement your choice of dishes.

Alongside the tapas menu, Pêra Bistro Bar serves some classic Brunch and Breakfast dishes, giving a tasty start to your day. Note - the Bistro is not open for breakfast or brunch in August. There are Burgers and Bowls available too. Special mention for the Gourmet Cheese Burger and the very Portuguese Bifana Special, packed with flavour and served with rustic chips.

Located next to the municipal market in Armação de Pêra, the bistro has a cosy indoor dining area and a spacious and sunny terrace, which is the perfect spot for people-watching and leisurely meals in the sunshine. Open for lunch and dinner during the summer months and day-time only in low season, in addition to the regular menu there are often special dishes of the day available, as well as very tempting home-made cakes, not to mention the milkshakes – tall glasses of chilled deliciousness.
