Mediterranean Gourmet Regional Creative International Seafood Portuguese Vegetarian Fine Dining Amara Restaurant in Quinta do Lago is a tranquil haven where you can enjoy excellent food and great wines in a really lovely setting. Located at the Four Seasons Fairways resort, the restaurant is open to the public. A somewhat hidden gem that is well worth discovering, not only for the great contemporary Portuguese cuisine but also the excellent wine list.  

Sophisticated and intimate, Amara is set within the grounds of the resort at the Club House. Light-filled and bright, there are wonderful views across the adjacent golf course, Quinta do Lago's North course. The panoramic, sliding glass walls protect from winter's chiil, and are open in the summer for mellow evenings of al fresco dining. The terrace is the spot of choice for diners here - lovely vistas and a tranquil atmosphere to complement the food that is prepared with flair and skill.

Amara Menu
Amara is a fine dining restaurant with a focus on fresh, seasonal and local produce. Inspired by traditional Portuguese flavours, the menu by Chef Nelson Candeias features beautifully crafted contemporary and innovative dishes, with a selection of meat, seafood and vegetarian dishes. At Amara you can chose to go à la carte, or avail of the special two and three course menus with dessert.

Wines at Amara
Special mention for wines at Amara - the wine list is excellent. Passionate about Portuguese wines, Amara's sommelier has selected not only wines from Portugal but also around the world.

Jazz at Amara
Amara hosts regular Jazz evenings throughout the year - beautiful live performances to complement the great food. The mellow sounds of the duo (voice and saxaphone) create a fabulous atmosphere.
