Description

The highest point in the Algarve, Monchique captivates with its green surroundings, the simplicity of its people and the quality of its gastronomy. Its strategic location, made possible by its mountains, made Monchique an important point for the Romans as well as the Arabs. In the 15th century, King João II, after being cured in the thermal waters of Monchique and impressed by their therapeutic characteristics, ordered the construction of a thermal facility which, at the time, was a point of attraction for many people and has remained a distinctive feature of the region to this day. Monchique thus proves to be the ideal place for those looking for a different Algarve, away from the hustle and bustle of the beaches. Price of the ticket does not include lunch. On this tour we have the option of lunch in a traditional restaurant with a surcharge of 25€ (cash only) which must be handed to the driver at the start of the tour. You are welcome to chose another locations or bring your own lunch. Please me advise that you most respect the break time.
