Your adventure begins along the peaceful Algibre Stream, following rural tracks through some of the Algarve's most iconic landscapes. From January to early July, weather permitting, the stream usually flows strongly, creating one of the tour's highlights as your Jeep splashes through the water.
Along the way, your guide explains the Algarve's rural traditions, including charcoal kilns over 500 years old and the region's remarkable cork oak trees. Learn how cork is sustainably harvested without harming the tree, why Portugal leads the world in cork production, and how this tradition has shaped local communities for generations.
Arrive in Alte, one of the Algarve's most picturesque villages, where you can cool off with a swim in crystal-clear natural pools fed by mountain spring water.
