Your tour starts through Alfama and Mouraria, two of Lisbon’s oldest quarters. Alfama is known for its narrow streets, tiled façades, and as the birthplace of Fado music. Mouraria is a multicultural district with Moorish roots that survived the 1755 earthquake, retaining its medieval character.
Pass by Sé de Lisboa, the city’s oldest cathedral dating back to the 12th century, and Igreja de Santo António, built on Saint Anthony’s birthplace.
Stop at Miradouro da Porta do Sol for views over Alfama, the Tagus River, and Lisbon’s traditional rooftops. This viewpoint is ideal for photos and learning local stories.
