Description

Experience an authentic and responsible dolphin watching boat tour led by a seasoned captain and dedicated biologists who share a profound love for nature and marine life. Be ready for an adventure that combines education, exploration, and the magic of witnessing dolphins in their natural habitat. Departing from Parchal in Lagoa, you will venture into the open sea in search of these highly intelligent ocean inhabitants and celebrate the wild nature that we all must preserve. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours, depending on the distance and location of the groups of dolphins. The route we take is guided by their whereabouts, ensuring the best chance and quality of sightings. The most commonly observed species are Common Dolphin (Delphinus delphis) and Bottlenose Dolphin (Tursiops truncatus). But, Algarve waters teem with biodiversity and you may spot incredible seabirds, jellyfish, and occasionally sharks, whales, or turtles. Our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides are committed to offering valuable insights into the unique marine ecosystem of the Algarve. Believing that education is vital to conservation, we continuously expand our expertise to provide meaningful information about marine wildlife and its preservation. The magic of observing dolphins and other marine creatures in their natural environment is thrilling and indescribable. However, it's important to understand that these encounters are with unpredictable wild animals that roam freely in the Atlantic Ocean. Observing them happens in the wild, where sea conditions, weather, and other natural factors cannot be controlled and may affect visibility and the likelihood of sightings. Dolphins may sometimes be farther away, less active, or unsocial, but with great team effort and expertise, we have a remarkable 98% success rate in sightings. Be an adventurous spirit and come prepared for the open sea - Bring weather-appropriate clothing, such as a windbreaker or warm jumper, as offshore conditions can vary significantly from inshore weather. Our ethical approach to dolphin observation ensures minimal impact on the animals and their ecosystem. By adhering to local legislation and a strict code of conduct, we promote harmonious coexistence and contribute to the long-term protection of marine life. Join us for an adventure that will be the best day of your holiday.
