Herdade Canal Caveira is located where the Setúbal and Alentejo wine regions meet, near the Alentejo coast. The estate covers 45 hectares: 25 are vineyards, with the rest planted with olive, orange, cork oak, holm oak, arbutus, and pine trees. Its unique microclimate combines maritime influence with sandy soils and a temperature range shaped by the Atlantic, creating ideal conditions for producing elegant, complex wines.

The winery's castle-shaped house is visible from road IC1, welcoming travelers to the Algarve region. From the top floor, visitors can see the village, mountains, and plains while enjoying the estate’s handcrafted wines.

The experience begins with a guided, informative tour covering the estate’s history, winemaking process, and regional context. After the tour, you receive a picnic basket with regional products including cheeses, sausages, olive oil, bread, fruit, and cookies. You can then choose a spot in the vineyard to enjoy a typical Alentejo picnic paired with a bottle of Herdade Canal Caveira wine.
