Description

Witnessing the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean is a truly memorable experience in Algarve. This carefully curated excursion offers a blend of stunning coastal scenery, historical landmarks and cultural insights. The journey begins at Ponta da Gaivota, an idyllic viewpoint in Praia da Luz, where the serene beauty of the coastline is accentuated by unique rock formations that extend toward the sea. We continue through the charming village of Burgau, known for its whitewashed houses and its authentic blend of tourism and traditional fishing culture. Next, we visit Almádena Fort, a 17th-century military structure historically used to monitor the coastline from Sagres to the Bay of Lagos. This site provides a fascinating glimpse into the Algarve’s maritime defense history. Our journey then takes us to Boca do Rio Beach in Vila do Bispo. Here, we explore the remains of an ancient Roman villa, including mosaic fragments, offering insight into the region’s rich historical past. No visit to the Algarve would be complete without stopping at the historic Sagres, home to Portugal’s legendary explorers that provides a stunning view over the majestic Atlantic Ocean. The tour finishes at Cordoama Beach or Ponta Ruiva, a secluded and pristine natural setting, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the sunset.
