Description
Meet your guide at Arco da Vila and receive a treasure map, a letter from the stork, and your first mission. Begin your adventure by counting the visible arches, bells, and decorative elements to determine which silhouette belongs to the true guardian of Faro. Continue through the ancient horseshoe-shaped gates and learn about the city's Moorish past. Find the correct arch shape and decode a secret message using a simple Arabic geometric code. Walk along the narrow cobblestone streets of the Old Town and complete a series of observation tasks. Find an old door knocker, spot a house with azulejos, count balconies, and identify the correct path from a photo fragment. Head to Largo da Sé and search for architectural details depicted on the cards: a tower, clock, columns, windows, and ancient stones. Then, assemble a mini-puzzle with a panorama of Faro and determine the location of the city, lagoon, and islands. Become a guardian of medieval Faro as you explore the city walls and Arco do Repouso. Choose the best observation point, find traces of different historical eras, and identify which items might belong to a knight, merchant, and sailor. Walk from the Old Town to the marina and identify which birds, fish, crabs, and sea plants live in the Ria Formosa lagoon. Younger children can complete a picture of the lagoon from several parts. Use the collected symbols to decipher the final clue, leading you to the marina. Here, children assemble the magic key and open a small chest containing commemorative tokens, stickers, small souvenirs, and Young Guardian of Faro certificates. End your adventure with a photo by the FARO sign and receive a small Portuguese sweet. Create your own Faro postcard by drawing the white stork, decorating it with shells, adding colored sand, and inventing your own city symbol.Includes
