Carrapateira Extreme Surf School is on the Costa Vicentina, the Algarve west coast, the best place for surfing in the Algarve. Expert instructors, a great vibe and amazing scenery make this a super surfing experience. Suitable for all levels, for children and adults, individual lessons are available, as well as group lessons and surf packs for 3 and 5 days.

The best surfing in the Algarve is on the Costa Vicentina, the west coast. Carrapateira Extreme run a super surf school here, surfing the waves at Bordeira, Amado and Carrapateira beaches, endless expanses of fine sand and Atlantic waves. There are individual lessons for absolute beginners as well a surf courses where you can learn the skills to ride the waves.

Carrapateira Extreme is a well-established surf school with an excellent reputation. Surfing lessons are led by head coach Guy Barange, and all the instructors are fully certified. The surf lessons are suitable and adapted for all levels, from absolute beginners to more experience surfers. All equipment is provided and the school is fully insured. Being a local business, the team know all the best spots and bring a wealth of local knowledge and insights to your surf experience.

In addition to wonderful surf experiences, Carrapateira Extreme also offers other sea adventures such as SUP and Kayaking, as well a superb horse riding tours on the beach and along the coast.

Carrapateira Extreme Surf School Lessons - Best Sellers
Group Surf Lesson - 1h30
Perfect for beginners or for those looking to perfect some skiils, this is a group lesson with a maximum of 8 surfers per instructor.
Start times vary according to the tides and conditions.

All Day Group Surf Lesson - 3 hours
Two separate surf sessions of 1h30 each, morning and afternoon, to really give you the chance to improve your surfing skills. Maximum of 8 sirfers per instructor.

Private Surf Lesson - 2 hours
With a maximum of 3 participants, the private surf lessons permit faster progession, with more individual attention for each surfer.

Surf Courses - 3 or 5 Days
If you really want to progress, then book a surf course. There are 3 and 5 days courses available, with group lessons each day. Start times can vary each day.

Surf Lessons for Children
There are lessons available for children 8 to 15 years of age with a limited number of participants. There are one and two hour lessons available, all with expert tuition and supervision to ensure the kids have a fabulous surf experience.
