Dog school and hotel, training for dogs and owners
João Paulino has experience training several different dog breeds, helping owners to achieve their goals, from basic obedience, to eliminate unwanted behavioral problems, or even preparing dogs for different dog sports competitions. He trains both owners and dogs as he believes that in order for a dog to be able to live in human society he must adapt to the rules and shape his behaviour without losing their natural instincts and skills.
For him the most important words regarding dog training is “balance”, “connection” and “respect”. He does not care about dog beauty or looks but rather their health, character and drives to work and please their master, happily and in harmony. Paulino also believes that a dog is much more than a just a pet! Has infinite potential to be explored. With his help, families will learn how to take more advantage of their own dog, how to stimulate him and create new challenges that will form a stronger bond between them.
Services provided vary from puppies socialization, basic obedience, swimming lessons for dogs (entertainment, losing weight or physiotherapy), several behavioural problems resolution, group classes at the school and outside, security dogs training, dogs boarding school, and multiple dog sports disciplines as (IPO, MONDIORING, OBEDIENCE, AGILITY among others).
In 2014 he represented Portugal in the german shepards world championship WUSV along with our black German Shepard dog Ciro Kustmarkens and in 2018 he became IPO1 world winner with the Boxer breed dog Echo Von Der Koningswiese in the IPO world championship ATIBOX WM.
João Paulino is a certified and recognized “Dog Training Professional” according do EU legislation by Defence Intelligent Academy NS (DIANs) and Formatore Cinofilo Certificato (FCC) and Iron Dog Algarve school is a recognized training and competition school by Portuguese Kennel Club (CPC).
The small but gorgeous dog hotel has capacity for 8 to 10 dogs and is located in the countryside, next to the dog school in a very relaxed area. It has permanent surveillance 24/7 and an outdoor grass area of 200 square meters where the individual spacious boxes of 9 square meters each are located. Dogs are allowed to run free all day in the grass area and are collected to the individual boxes at night to eat and sleep quietly. Our facilities are accessible for wheelchair users.
We are open from monday to saturday, from 8AM until 8PM.
Individual classes every day and group classes take part every saturday 10AM.
