Zoomarine Algarve has just launched a new App. Free to download, the app has all the information you need to plan and enjoy your visit to the award-winning theme park. The app is available for Android and iOS and is in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Zoomarine is the Algarve’s top attraction. The marine theme park, which aims to educate and entertain, is a must-do when in the Algarve. Zoomarine is all about the natural world and the richness of marine life and oceans. There is a strong conservation and educational message delivered along with plenty of fun. The park has pools and water slides, fun rides, pirate show and even its own beach. There are animal presentations, an aquarium to visit, a special dolphin area and a 4D cinema.

Away from the spotlight, Zoomarine is very involved in the rescue and rehab of marine animals (read about the rescue, rehab and release of a leatherback turtle), as well as beach clean-ups and the annual Green Mountain event which plants thousands of trees in the Algarve countryside.

The Zoomarine App aims to allow visitors to plan their time and find their way around the park without the waste inherent in single-use park maps and schedules. With the app, you have all the information at your fingertips. The app tells you what shows and presentations are up next and the location of each one. It shows you the various restaurants and picnic areas, where the rides and slides are and shows you the best route there from your location.

The app is just one of several new Zoomarine features for 2020. For an adrenaline burst, try the Farol Lighthouse Tower – you go up, you go down, you get turned around, with a 6m free fall. The Manta carrousel recreates the graceful underwater flight of manta rays.

Zoomarine will be open from 1st June 2020 (this date may alter subject to Covid19 conditions) Although not currently open to the public, you can enjoy a peek behind the scenes if you head over to Zoomarine Algarve on Facebook and Instagram or on You Tube.
