Albufeira welcomes the European Footvolley Championship 2017! Stars of footvolley will be showcasing their skills and aiming to win the championship from 22nd to 25th June 2017 at Praia dos Pescadores.

Now in it's 2nd edition, this years European Footvolley Championship welcomes 16 teams from 12 countries - Germany, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Spain, France, Greece, Netherlands, Italy, Norway, Portugal, United Kingdom and Switzerland. The setting is the fabulous Praia dos Pescadores in Albufeira. Fine golden sand, the blue ocean and fabulous weather make this a superb setting for a sporting event that is growing in stature.
 

The stadium, which has been set up on the beach, has a capacity for 1,000 spectators, among bench seats, VIP area and lounge area where a drink can be enjoyed. Qualifying matches are on the 22nd June with the Main Draw matches starting on the 23rd June, with the semi-final and final being played on the 25th June. See the full programme below.

Among the local companies sponsoring the championship is Algar Experience, who will host the private closing party aboard one of their Belize catamarans. Algar Experience, based in Albufeira marina offer wonderful cruises along the Algarve coast, beach party cruises and dolphin watchng trips.
