The Campus in Quinta do Lago hosts regular workshops on nutrition, breathing, heart rate monitoring and more, aiming to enhance our well-being and energy levels.
In October and November 2020 there will be a series of workshops hosted by The Campus, with the aim of promoting well-being and a healthy, active lifestyle. The Campus is Quinta do Lago's sports hub, where professional athletes and teams train and where enthusiastic amateurs improve their games and fitness, while having fun.
The Campus Workshops in October and November:
2 Oct. 15:00 - 17:00h - Breathing to Improve Health & Well-being
Learn how to be present, ground yourself, and develop mental clarity and increased energy through this breathing workshop that aims to provide participants with different yoga breathing techniques to improve your overall health and wellbeing
10 Oct. 10:00 - 12:00h - Heart Rate Training and Five Energy Zones
Learn and experience the benefits of wearing a heart rate monitor during cycle classes as it will provide an instant, continuous heart rate display that will keep you in check with your training goals. All will be educated about the five different “training zones” and how to work smarter not harder when training.
All participants will need a Polar HR monitor or equivalent (Available to purchase from The Campus shop). Max 7 participants.
15 Oct. 14:00 - 15:00h - Fascia Workshop
Learn all about fascia, what is fascia, where it is located in your body, the relationship between fascia and your emotions, different techniques to release fascia and how fascial stretching and release is beneficial for optimal performance, your energy levels and your physical and emotional health and well-being.
12th Nov. 15:00 - 17:00h - Activation of the Body's Energy Centres through Breathing
This workshop aims to develop awareness and increase knowledge and understanding of the different energy centers and how they work within the body. Learn how to activate, balance and boost your energy through breathing.
12th Nov. 15:00 - 17:00h - Plant Based Diet: influence on health and sport
Discover what is a plant-based diet and how it can impact on your life and health. Learn about supplementation, sources of vitamins and important nutritional information, especially for athletes and those of us leading an active lifestyle.
