Whose Life Is It Anyway? The Algarveans Experiemental Theatre Group takes to the stage this November with their latest production.
Whose life is it anyway? is a play that looks at whether Claire, the main character, is entitled to exercise her right as an individual to choose her own destiny, or whether morality dictates it should be decided by the medical professionals who think they know best.
With courage, humour and romance, Whose Life Is It Anyway? offers a witty, yet relevant means to consider this problem. Performed by local talented theatre group The Algarveans.

About Whose life is it anyway?
The stage play was adapted from the 1972 television play of the same title, which starred Ian McShane. The stage play premiered in 1978 at the Mermaid Theatre in London winning a Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play and subsequently a Tony Award for Best Play in 1979. The same year it opened on Broadway where Tom Conti won The Tony Award for Best Actor. The film, released in 1981, was directed by John Badham and starred Richard Dreyfuss.
Originally the lead part was written for a man however, Brian Clarke rewrote the part for Mary Tyler Moore in the Broadway production with Kim Cattrall playing lead when it returned to London in 2005.
