Algarve Watercolour Painting Lesson: How to Paint a Bee-Eater Bird in Watercolours
Learn how to draw and paint the Algarve bee-eater bird with it's richly coloured plumage in watercolours. 9th Jan. 2021.
This workshop is suitable for all levels. All painting materials are included.
Our qualified Algarve art tutor will:
- guide you step-by-step to draw a bee-eater bird with it's downturned bill and slender body with pointed wings
- guide you in painting your bee-eater bird in bright blue, red and yellow watercolours
Painting Workshop Schedule:
- Arrive from 09h45 for tea/coffee
- Workshop starts at 10h00
- Tea/coffee break with homemade cake
- 3-Hour painting workshop ends 13h00
- Lunch from 13h00
- 3-hour tuition by professional art teacher

About your art teacher, Tracy-Jane:
Tracy-Jane has a BA Hons degree in Fine Art as Social Practice from Wolverhampton University and then went on to achieve teaching qualifications in further education.
Tracy-Jane is a member of Algarve Society of Artists and a Professional Member of the S.A.A.
About your host, Cheryl:
Cheryl, organiser of the art workshops and co-owner of @figsonthefuncho, is passionate about Portugal; holidaying, exploring, experiencing new creative hobbies, good food, joyful living, well-being and mindful connection, especially with regard to a healthy work-life balance.

Did you know that bee-eaters will occupy the same nesting site every year unless of course if the nest has been destroyed or disturbed?
Did you know that bee-eaters can eat up to 250 bees a day?
Did you know that bee-eaters only catch prey which is flying and ignore the flying insects once they land?

Figs on the Funcho have been awarded the Clean&Safe seal as we work together with our cleaning company and our villa manager to ensure that our rental property’s cleaning protocol meets the “Clean & Safe” protocols by following the new hygiene guidelines as set out for villa rentals.
In additional to our coronavirus cleaning protocols defined for our rental property our art students attending our painting lessons will be asked to adhere to our coronavirus protocols.
