Your walking holiday will take you on a captivating journey through the beautiful countryside to a place where two troublesome brothers battled in the Algarve countryside and you will discover the rich cultural heritage of the Algarve region as you explore the Archaeological Circuit, with its fascinating remnants of the past.

Enjoy breathtaking views as you stroll above the Algarve Ochre Cliffs, admiring the stunning seascapes and panoramic vistas.  Go back in time when you visit the Ghost Village, where the abandoned village tells a haunting tale of days gone by. Finally, enjoy the tranquil beauty of the Funcho river, with its picturesque riverside scenery and peaceful ambiance.

Your Riverside Accommodation

Nestled here in this idyllic location, with direct views over Barragem do Funcho and the river is The River House. Set back in the hills and surrounded by fig and carob trees, wildflowers, and pathways winding down to the water’s edge it offers complete privacy, un-interrupted views and panoramic views, this location is not to be underestimated in terms of providing you with a peaceful and relaxing holiday that will leave you feeling revitalised and truly relaxed.

• Accommodation - Spacious, comfortable accommodation. Single or double beds with shared spacious bathroom or double room with bathroom en-suite
• Meals - Breakfast and dinner. Packed lunch or a picnic is provided on most walks except when you eat at a local restaurant at your cost (not included: alcoholic drinks (honesty bar provided))
• Airport Transfers - We’ll have one Faro airport pick-up at 15h00 for the group. We can arrange airport transfers for you at other times for your cost.
• Cleaning - Mid week room clean and towel change
