The Ria Formosa Natural park is a fascinating area of sandbanks, lagoons and salt pans, rich with fauna and flora. On the tour you visit a family owned property where you will learn of the traditional processes for producing and harvesting natural sea salt, including the prized Flor do Sal, a favourite with chefs around the world.
There will be a guided walk around the salt pans, where the is a large salt pyramid you can climb to enjoy the elvated views. You get to sample some snacks flavoured with different types of salt and you even have the opportunity to swim in a salt lake, similar to the Dead Sea!
